Jocelyn Cooper, ACC
Jocelyn has partnered with Propel + Excel, LLC since 2015, engaging executives, leaders, and teams through coaching, consulting, professional development workshops, retreat facilitation, conflict resolution, interpersonal effectiveness, strategic planning, providing behavioral health solutions, and organizational redesign. Jocelyn’s particular areas of interest and expertise include non-profit management and executive leadership, building strong, diverse, inclusive, and effective teams, supporting and empowering women and young business professionals in following passions and reaching goals and facilitating professional development seminars. Jocelyn is an affiliative and transformational leader who works from a person-centered, solution-focused, and action-oriented lens.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson
University and a Master of Arts Degree in Counselor Education from The College of New Jersey, Jocelyn’s career started in the non-profit sector where she held various roles, including Executive Director, overseeing a 24-person team and $1.6 million dollar budget for a substance abuse advocacy and prevention agency. In this role, she developed expertise in organizational development, project management and implementation, contract management, community relations and communication, board and fund development, fiscal management, compliance, operations, grant writing, building and leading diverse teams and connecting key community stakeholders to collaboratively affect change at the individual, family, community and environmental levels through planned strategies and evidence-based programs.
Jocelyn is a Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certified Coach through Rutgers University and Heidrick & Struggles. Additionally, she serves as an Adjunct Professor in the graduate school at The College of New Jersey and enjoys creating mutual learning spaces for individuals to explore their personal and professional identities as they prepare to enter the workforce. She is the owner of a private therapy practice located in Pennington, NJ. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Certified Clinical Supervisor, and a Certified Prevention Specialist, and has been in practice for nearly a decade, working with adolescents and adults.
